Chemi-Pure Elite vs Purigen
I want to use to help removal of phosphates from my tank to hopefully rid my tank of Cyano...
Which would you use and why?

Chemipure or GFO will remove PO4. Purigen will not remove PO4 directly. It will remove organic compounds before they break down. Chemipure is a mixture of carbon and GFO. Chemipure is your choice for what you want or separate GFO in a reactor or a canister filter.

Well I only have a 15g tank with a HOB filter, so I presume that I'm going to replace the carbon insert with this stuff...
