Plumbing Size
Hello -
Quick question. I will be plumbing to the skimmer pump in the next day or two and was wondering if I should up the size of the intake line from sump -> pump. The pump is a Little Giant 4 and has a 1" inlet. There will be a couple of 90's or 45's (45's would be better if I can swing it) and around 5-6 feet of line. Will 1" pipe suffice or would it be better to use 1.5" to ensure the pump has enough water supply. Thoughts? Thanks! |

If it was 10-12' of line, I would say use 1.5". Use long sweeps rather than the 90's or 45's.
