Ro/di

I have a few questions so please bear with me.

I just recently moved and the pressure i'm getting now through my RO is 42-44 psi. on the low side. I read that optimal is 40-80. Should I get a pump at 42?

On the canister with the membrane there are 2 out puts. 1 goes to the last stage and 1 is waste water. Does it matter which one is which. My waste is on the top, i've seen diagrams of it reversed.

Lastly I'm getting alot of brown algae growing all over my tank. I just recently changed all my lights and my filters. I'm getting about a 2/1 waste to good water ratio which I know is bad but on my TDS meter it shows 1 on the good water. can the ratio still be the cause of the algae or is it something else?

Thanks

You should not need a pump as long as you are above 40.

yes the waste water is a specific port, go back to your housing mfr to determine which one it is. It should be the one with the flow restrictor in line.

^ Agreed... Also the waste is the one with the most flow.

since you a made a change to filters, you may be experiencing a diatom bloom. just be patient, it will go away.

Also if you just moved I assume you had to do a teardown so you may just be having a cycle but do verify your output.
