SPS slowly losing tissue???

Okay so here is my problem.

SPS corals has polyps extended but the tissue is deteriorating about an 1/2 to 1" a week. Now most of my SPS corals are gone. Not all of them got this problem and the LPS are doing fine.

Before when I had this problem years ago I added Strontium and I never had a problem since. This time it didn't work. Currently Strontium is at 10ml. Assuming the test kit works.

I noticed the Iodide was low and have started adding that, but it didn't stop the deterioration.

Other parameters are as to be expected from an established 800 gallon tank with weekly water changes, cleaning, and calcium being added by a Cal reactor.

The corals are about 5 months old when they started this. They were small colonies (Fiji) and were growing until this started.

you might want to repost in the SPS corals forum.

At any rate they will probably ask what your current tank parameters are, what lighting you are using, how long ago you changed the bulbs and what the flow is in your tank.

Yea, really need to know your Cal, Alk and Mag levels. Along with salinity, and temp.

Any changes made to the tank recently?

I guess I better find out what exactly they were. I wasn't taking care of it at the time. I think the calc was 455 and the alk was around 8.
