I have purchased fresh stuff from Publix to chop up for my fish & corals, but never tried frozen. But I'm sure it's all perfectly fine. If it's safe for human consumption, I'm sure it's ok for fish.

I would avoid frozen because you are likely to defrost it during preparation, there refreeze it which is not good for the food (or your fish). Raw fish, squid, mussels, seaweed, spinach, romaine lettuce are all possibilities that I have used.

I've bought lots of fresh seafood from Publix and Walmart and chopped it and froze it for previous predator tanks with not problems.

I use fresh nori, garlic, shrimp, scallops, fish, and clam from publix. Chop it up and press it thin in a zip loc then freeze it. Also end up making a nice dinner for me too.
