Vertex Alpha 250 cone skimmer review thread

Ok, I am starting this a day early. But will post some pics and video as soon as I can. I live in the same state as Premium Aquatics so I can get it a little quicker than most. Bonus for only living 90 minutes away or so.
I think there is alot of hype around this skimmer. At least from what I can tell. And well the cone skimmer market has really taken off. ATB,Warner MArine, SWC, eshopps are all making cone skimmers now. And well this one is brought to us by vertex and royal exclusive. This will have a Red Dragon 1500 pump and will come with two venturi's one @1500 lph and the other at 1800 lph.
Here are some of the first pics of the actual units Premium Aquatics got in today.well here is the link.

More tomorrow night !!!

Very cool! I just got through reading your K2 and Econo 840 reviews. I'm still on the fence but leaning toward the Alpha.

THank you all for the kind words. I ll am charging my battery on the camera now so I can take all the pictures you all want. Well today is the day. Everyone that pre ordered their skimmer will be getting the tracking # tonight if all goes as planned from PRemium. I am not sure if other places got there Alpha's yet. But I should be able to get mine this evening.
You know that after doing and seeing quite a few skimmers on the market the "WOW" factor seems to go away after a while. You start looking at the small things that will set the skimmer apart from its competitors or maybe the areas it falls short. Sometimes I wish I could take about 4 or 5 skimmers and combine everything I like about them into one skimmer. Well stay tuned and I will have more to say tonight as I open and take pictures of the Alpha 250.

We would be very interested in all the parameters you would like to see in one skimmer!!!!

Also it would be very interesting to see what performance parameters you think would differentiate that skimmer from the rest of the bunch.

Regards,

nanoskim

I'm assuming that your saying that the ATB would be better and all the alpha buyers would start whinning.
