PJ Cardinals and cleaner shrimp?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to re-stock my tank after the death move and thought about getting some pj cardinals. I understand that they're a pretty hardy fish that should school (I was thinking about getting three small ones). Problem is I really want to get some cleaner shrimp as well. Anyone on here had problems with the two?

Thanks!

IMO the pajamma cardinals prefer to be on there own. It is the
banggai cardinals that you can have a small school of them.

no banggai cardinals are little guys.

My buddy's tank has banggai cardinals and cleaner shrimp---the cardinals don't bother them

Bangai and PJ cardinals have frequently been documented as killing each other off... threadfins are the only cardinals that I'm aware of that will consistently shoal.

I was just doing a bit of reading on them snarkes---they spawn really easy in a reef tank.
The possibility of padding your addiction looks good with cardinals

They do spawn easily, and the fry are actually viable, unlike many impossible-to-raise species.

I just got a small school of pj canrdinals, I love those little guys, they just dart at each other all day establishing their little hierarchy, I've always though PJ's are more colorful then the banggai's.

Marine Fish & Reef Magazine, says that PJs should be kept in groups of 3,5 or 7 ect. and that a single PJ will waste away over time.
