Something going on with fins
Something is going on with my clownfish's fins. My clowns fins are still shaped and formed as they always have been, but I just noticed today that large parts of the fin are now devoid of color and are actually translucent or transparent... e.g. i can see straight through the middle part of the fin. It isn't a hole, the fin is still there.
I have seen fin rot before, and at least the variations I have seen look more like a breaking or 'streaming' of the fins so I'm not sure that this is what this is. Any thoughts on what it could be? I tested the water parameters and they are great right now even for the most delicate of corals. |

Can you get a pic?
Also, if you just tested can you post the actual params? And what else is in the tank & how is it looking?

This is the strangest thing. Last night I didn't think he was going to make it through the night, he was acting kind of lethargic. I was going to take a picture as soon as the daylights came on today.
Well, as it turns out he is acting fine now and his fins have completely recovered. I could literally see through some of them last night but everything is back to normal now. I guess he pulled through whatever it was. Strange. |
