White Spots On Glass

Tanks been up for almost 3 months. Just noticed there are little white spots appearing on the glass. I'm assuming its a form of algae? Please help with this one.

Could be small 'pods, or eggs from flatworms or snails? I'm guessing they don't move?

I have a tank that has been up for about 2 months also. When I got my clean up crew I started to notice littler white specs on the glass also. I would assume they are coming from the snails. But I dont know exactly what they are. They dont move.

Could be snail eggs, could be the start of coraline.

So should I leave them on the glass? Or should I scrap the ones on the front and leave the ones on the back. I'm also going to assume that my tank is pretty health if these things are growing?

Yep in my experience it is a good thing but you should scrape them off wherever you want to be able to see clearly. Mine stopped coming back after awhile.

How often do you do your water changes and how much. I've been doing 10% every 2 weeks.

Not the right answer here..but depends on my mood..sound decent though you might want to up the percentage or the amount..

Alex,

How often do you change your active carbon out of your canister filters. I'm running 2 Magnum 350's, one has active carbon and the other has de-nitrate with some phosguard in a panty hose sitting in with the de-nitrtate. How much water do you change out a and at what %?

IMO if you are not cleaning anything or changing water you are headed for a huge crash. May take awhile to get there but it will happen eventually..be careful
