Sand in sump
I am currently using a 30 gallon sump that a friend of mine fabricated for me. At on end was the return, and the other end was the refugium. The sealant for the dividers broke off and right now the sump is open. Everytime I move something in the sump the sand from the refugium creates a sandstorm in the display. Could anyone advise how I can remove the sand from the sump without it kicking up everywhere? The last thing I want to do is remove the tank from the stand. Any help would be appreciated.

I would use a piece of like 3/4" or 1 " tubing, start a siphon & suck it right out of there into a bucket.......
