My worse nightmare MAY be realized Tank leaking??
Hey all hopefully some of you can maybe give me a little insight as this may have happened ot others. I have a 144 gallon 1/2 circle Oceanic aquarium. It's about 3 years old. On the bottom I noticed the other day just a tiny tiny amount of water bead along the bottom where the aquarium sits on the stand in a 2 inch area. Just assumed it was from me workin in the tank and spillage. Well went to the area today and theres alittle water there. I take a paper towel to the small 2 inch area and cant really make the water completely dissapear>> It isnt dripping or anything by any means just a small tiny bead line of water .
Is there any chance this may seal itself?? Will it get worse o tcoudl this be anything else.. |

Could you seal it inside/outside with some underwater epoxy? Might work since it's a very small leak.
One thing for sure...it's gonna get bigger. Good thing your catching it now.

Is anyone familiar with Oceanic's warranty program. I heard it was lifetime on select tanks?? I have only had this one for 4 years or so.

Warranty or not, you very well may have a project ahead of you. I would check on their warranty, and see what they say. If you do find a leak and can clear sand away from the actual location, you can take a large syringe filled with silicone and inject it right onto/into the seam and it will cure underwater. Just be aware of voiding said warranty. The trick will be finding the source of the leak. Good luck. sounds like it may wind up being temporary housing for your reef if the warranty covers it.

well good thing I have it on there stand..lol. I thought it was lifetime as well. I went to the website and they word the warranty oddly?? Warranty void if moved by edging "If the tank has been filled with water" what the hell does that mean
