Some pics of my new water change container.
I love it.
Holds 220 gallons of NSW! I built this piece out of scrap wood to help prevent it from sliding around in the truck bed.

I change between 100-150 when I do a change.
But I am upgrading my sump from a 125 to a 180, so I plan to do 180 gallon changes at a time.

Where did you get that tank from and what did it cost you? Has it had anything in it before?

That's pretty sweet! I could use one of those in the back of my truck for work.

I see you say NSW. How are you pumping it from the sea to the container? Where are you getting the water where its pristine enough to use?

It goes through numerous filters, including sand and UV. I have been using it for about 6 years now I guess.

It would be great for me though because I'm not really close enough to the ocean....or maybe I am!? Maybe I should take an hour drive and see if I can get filtered NSW from the Vancouver Aquarium? Although I would use that in one week....definitely something to ponder. |
