Yellow Tang - Stringy Poo, but NOT white?
Got a Yellow Tang a few weeks ago that for the first few days acted really weird. Would randomly twitch and then dart across the tank.
After a few days that went away and its been acting normal since. The fish picks at the rocks and eats nori and Rods like a champ. Noticed today what looks like a ball of cheato thats its trying to poo out. When my Kole drops a bomb its almost like this dust that just breaks up and goes away with the current. This stuff seems to be sticking with the fish as if its having a hard time passing it and is green so im thinking its not a parasite. Could it simply a bit too much "fiber" ? |

Darn vegetarians.
I've seen this in my yellow tang, I wouldn't sweat it.

My yellow tang does the dart and twitch thing too... It takes about 15 minutes to work its way out... then, of course, my Kole tang dives in and eats it all! It comes out of the Yellow tang much more firm and undigested.
