Picking a ATO System
I am looking for the easy way but that is still reliable and has good quality too. I would like to run it straight from my RO System.
Here are a few that I am looking at now. Gap Products Level-Loc Automatic Top Off: http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewIt...4~isKit~0.html JBJ ATO: http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_ViewIt...3~isKit~0.html http://www.autotopoff.com/products/DS1/ Thanks for help Brooks |

but any of those is fine... tunze osmolator is the best, and the most $$$, jbj or reef fanatics are fine too... good luck.. |

I'm using the deluxe kit from Aquahub.com and it has ben very reliable. I'm one of the few who had trouble with the JBJ system.

while direct RO is generally not recommended, the Gap unit is what you want. The others won't work without an additional solenoid in this case.
Couple of other pointers; -Your RO must be equipped with functional auto shut off unit or even better a second solenoid on the RO inlet line. This would need to be hooked directly to the first, though. -You'll likely need a pressurized Ro reservoir. Othwise your Ro unit will cycle on & off many times a day. This can result in tds creep which basically exhausts the RO unit quicker. |

Can the GAP unit work not hooked directly into your RO/DI unit?

I use the JBJ, it works well. Just make sure you use a big enough pump so that it will top off before the ATO shuts it off.

tunze osmolator hasn't failed me but I do use a reservoir with the rodi on a solenoid. I have no tds creep that way
