Bicolor & starry blenny

In a 90 gallon tank will these 2 fish be compatible? the starry blenny has been in the tank for about 6 months. Thanks

Yes, they should be compatible as they are not closely related at all and their diets are entirely different.

The bicolor blenny (Ecsenius bicolor) is a herbivore and the starry dragonet (Synchiropus stellatus) is a carnivore.

The bicolor blenny is in the family Blenniidae. The starry dragonet is not a blenny at all. It's in the family Callionymidae and in the same genus with the mandarinfishes.

The dietary needs of the starry dragonet are the same as those of the green mandarin dragonet (Synchiropus splendidus) and the spotted mandarin dragonet (S. picturatus) and the husbandry requirements are the same: lots of live rock, some rock rubble and lots and lots of copepods and other tiny crustaceans to eat.

I don't think he's talking about the dragonette, there's an actual starry blenny.

Hi Ironmics , you are correct, I think they are both blennies , I have the bicolor in another tank and they eat both nori as well as a home made fish/ shrimp/clam blend.

I have both in my tank and they ignore each other.
