Dead sand for tank upgrade?

I'm about to upgrade from a 55 to a 100 tank, and I have everything but the sand ready to go. I need to do the switch in a day because the new tank is going where the old one is... so I need to avoid any small cycles if possible.

My new rock is cured in an extra tank, so that should be good to go. Is mixing 20-30 pounds of my existing sand with dead/play sand the best way to avoid a new cycle during the move?
