Check out these new bulbs
Twin Arc! that is a great concept, I wonder how well they will work, and if they each give off 250 watts of light or is the light split into 125 each arc. 10K and 20K all in one bulb.

I see they make a dual 20k/20K as well...

More research reveals, they alternate upon firing up; thereby extending the lamp life: one arc runs at a time. You won't be increasing the output of the bulbs, but the life of the bulb is thereby doubled.
