Help

i have these whitish things all over the inside of my overflows and hanging under my rocks they seem to be hidding from the light they look like coocoons sorry no pictures im working on that

They are filter feeders most likely. You can leave them or pick them off. Can you provide a picture to be sure? usually they grow in my sump

Try doing a search on scypha sponges.

or pineapple sponges... I have tons and they are harmless, and even benificial...

I have noticed a huuuuuge outbreak of them in my chaeto ever since I started dosing vodka.

they are not in my sump they are in the places were there is no light hanging under rocks it looks like some kind of polyp coming out the top or little hairs

Maybe Syconoid sponges...look half way down the page there is a picture..maybe that..they are harmless and good for the tank.
