How much phyto to feed?
Hi gang,
I have a new 180gal tank with live rock (up for about a month) and I was trying to see how much phyto I should feed. The rock was fully cured with tons of critters (tube worms, clams, pods, coral polyps, sponges etc). Everything has survived as well. The CUC is getting towards the end of the algae breakout at this point. Anyway I've been adding about 25 to 30 ml of phycopure about every three to five days, is this enough? It is about three times less than the minimum recommended dosage listed on the phyto container. I just wasn't sure if I should add less (like I have been) with the newer tank. |

I use about 1/2 the recommended dose 3 times a week. I have a lot of corals in the tank, I would think your 1/3 rate would be fine.

OK thanks a lot. The pods are multiplying like wildfire by the way.
