They probably don't need to be fed to survive, but they will grow faster if you do.

I feed mine a mixture of my homemade fish food from a blender. I just blow a bit on the tentacles with a turkey baster and it eats some of it. It seems like mine eats smaller foods, so I wouldn't feed anything bigger than mysis. Cyclops would probably be better.

i used chopped mysis and silversides, It helps to use an eyedropper and turn off the flow for a few minutes. while the flow is off, gently squeeze the contents of the eyedropper right next to its mouth. Be sure to pull away the eye dropper before you 'inhale' the dropper again or else it will suction the frogspawn tissue and tear it. squeeze the food out and release. rinse, repeat. lol

I just feed the tank a small bit of freeze dried cyclopeeze. The frogspawn always gets plenty and has been growing quite fast. It started with 1 head a year and a half ago, ow I've lost count and the colony is bigger than my head. I feed like this about once a week or less.

I feel like most of that growth was due to 6 t5ho bulbs and gyre flow though.

Buy two clowns and let it host them! They'll feed it for you.

My Frogspawn went from 4 heads to 60 heads in two years without any target feeding what so ever. Just keep the light right and they will scavenge passing by food particles. Dont worry.

I've always had success with frogspawn growing, and growing REAL WELL in both of my tanks. And not even under intense light just moderate light.

Don't even worry about feeding it. They are very hardy. The things you need to worry about feeding large foods are things like Anemonae, Sun Coral, Brains, and Plates. The rest don't really need it or benefit from tank feedings like Rod Food and baby brine.

I buy a bag of freeze-dried glass minnows (or something similar, ~ 1-2cm ) at the asian market.
cost is a couple $ for a sandwich size bag full
Rehydrate in water for ~15' then give each frogspawn head 1 fish every few days.
Seems to speed growth quite a bit for me, but I've only got them under VHOs at the moment.

Its a PITA to feed frogspawn, its a waste of time IMO they dont seem to grab into the food and food partical get blown away when the flow is on. Just provide them lights.

Must be differences between types.
Mine scarfs! then the next day is twice as big.
Although sometimes, they aren't hungry and just let go, most of the time they wrap around it.
Like I mentioned, may depend on lighting - mine are low light VHO system.
