peppermint shrimp and pods
Hi gang,
I've been noticing a few aiptasia anemones popping up and I'd like to get an early start on getting rid of them before i have a ton. Anyway I know there are other chemical methods of removing them but I'd like to try a potential natural method first with a peppermint shrimp. Right now I'm in the process of boosting my pod population before I add my first fish, would the peppermint shrimp go after pods for food? |

ive known someone to shoot them with 3mm of lime juice. This seems to work for him, as they dont reappear in the same place. They just cant survive the drastic PH change.

the shrimp should not bother your pods at all. They will find uneaten food and other meaty things but they are not known to be big pods killers. Peps work great. I have used them in 3 tanks and had success with every single one. You need to be patient as they will not eat them overnight. I had 5 shrimp clear over 100 in my 180 in a matter of a few months. Also get 3 or 4 some for some reason are not interested in aptasia. getting multiple shrimp will raise your chances of success with aptasia.
