need help with egg crate stand

I have a few frags I want to put colser to the light. I wanted to make a shelf. was wondering. How I can fasten the eggcrate. I see people using magnets. Just looking for a cheap way

Zip tie the egg crate, and you could place it on a mag float.

WHERE WOULD I ZIP TIE IT TO. WOULD I HAVE TO DRILL INTO THE TOP PLASTIC OF THE TANK

Sorry I meant zip tie the egg crate together, you could simply place the egg crate on top of a mag float and move it closer to the top of the tank.

Rare earth magnets and superglue (or waterproof epoxy) work pretty well. K&M magnetics is where I've gotten my magnets in the past. Either the rubbor or plastic coated ones should work fine.
