TLF Phosban reactor problems - stringy white stuff
My reactor will go on working fine for about 2-3 days then it will stop tumbling and a white stringy substance starts appearing in the chamber. (In the part above the medium that is usually completely clear water) It makes my reactor medium stop tumbling and i have tried turning pressure off / on several times to get it to start tumbling again but it doesnt work. I end up just shutting it off and restarting it.
Can anyone offer some advice as to what my problem is? Thanks! -Steve

Re: TLF Phosban reactor problems - stringy white stuff
Sounds like you are getting the filmy mulm that accumulates on the inside of vinyl tubing and pvc. This stuff sloughs off after it accumulates. You need to clean out the tubing and pump that feeds your phosban reactor. It has nothing to do with the reactor. That is just where it is showing up after becoming detached from the inside of the tubing.

Thanks a bunch Dave. So a good soaking/cleaning in some Ro/Di water should do it? Should i throw a little vinegar in with it to help a little with cleaning?
