Aiptasia in overflow

Hi, I noticed something growing rather large in the overflow...the part that is on the outside of the tank. It looks like aiptasia, but i have never seen it grow there before. Anyone else ever have or seen this? I will try including a pic. Any suggestions?

they'll grow anywhere. I would still get rid of them out of there as well.

Does it look something like this?

In my tank, they are very efficient in capturing food.

Some people culture aiptasia or xenia in the fuge the way others grow chaetomorpha and caulerpa. That rock would make a good aiptasia filter starter.

Some may laugh but I saw a guy buy a rock covered in aiptasia. They told him it was a polyp colony. Well yeah... not the kind of polyps you want though! Beavis and Butthead moment....

In response to the actual thread. Kill the aiptasia. Kill them with all your might! Joes juice, vinegar, peroxide, siphoning, do whatever it takes to kill them. Even in an overflow.
