Msx-200

so when i get my 90 im going to be in the market for a skimmer, and i want a good one without breaking the bank. How's the MSX-200 for a 90? Is there a better choice for the price range? Thanks for the help.

Easy. I have one under my 90 with a ton of room. Outstanding skimmer. Just all depends on your stand.

well my 55 stand i think just has 23" from the shelf to the bottom of the DT. How tall is the top of your tank? Because the stand would have to be quite tall and the 90 is pretty tall as it is, making it impossible to work on. Whered you get your stand?

It is a standard Oceanic tech stand. Think it is about 32-36" tall.

It truly is a beast of a skimmer...my stand sits about 40 inches tall so it has plenty of space but yes you are right it is hard to work in. I require a step ladder to comfortably work in my tank but i definitely prefer my tank to be as high as it is because it is easily visible from eye level. So i guess if you don't mind getting wet on small ladders you could build your stand tall. Good Luck.

The MSX-200 would be a great choice. I still think they are the best skimmers on the market within that price range.

All i can hear from my 250 is the sucking of air from the 2 pumps. Actually i can pretty much hear that over anything else in my system.
