Pre filter in mag pumps-use or not?

Hello. Just curious how many people use the prefilter that comes with the mag drive pumps. Should it be left out or should it be used in all your opinions.

I personally don't use it, for me it is just something else to keep clean. I do run filter socks though.

Agree, I ran with it for 2 years and then left it off one day. Anything small enough to get through the sock or floss most likely wont damage the pump

i personally use it on my pumps, but then again i dont mind the extra cleaning every once in awhile.
