70W MH enough for SPS on a 15G enough?

Name says it all I'm building a 15G tank and I want to use a 70W MH on the tank that way I cut back on heat will this be enough to keep sps?

it'll be fine, but you're certainly not going to have to worry about the light getting to the corals, more just nutrient control and salnity control, since you've got a tiny water volume. The evaporation rate and conecncration of nutrients rate in a tank that small is what are going to be your difficulties, not getting enough light over your corals.

Ya everyone sais about evaporation, but if all I have to do is add a small amount of water out of a jug everyday that's no problem. What's annoying is lugging 5 gallon jugs up to my 75 to fill it up that's annoying!

You'll be fine. I ran a 10g with a 70W MH that was loaded with SPS.

As others said, keeping your parameters inline & evaporation will be a bigger issue. I'd definitely invest in an ATO if it were me.

yep, plenty of light. I would look into some sort of ATO to deal w/ evap. I would at least look into the salinity swing in a day by testing before your top off. I generally find a few times a day is better than once a day.
