Adding additional LR to established Tank
I currently have a 120g reef tank (9 months) that I would like to re-arrange and specifically add additional rock. My concern is that my tank appears to be doing very well and I'm a little hesitant in adding someone else's establish LR in my tank.
Should I be really concerned about this? What precautions should I take? Thanks |

If it's established rock from another tank it should be cured so that's not an issue.
You should observe it for nuisance algae, aiptasia and mojano anemones. Quarantine, even a bucket with circulation should let you check it out for nuisance hitch hikers.

Agree with Agu. Stick it in a bucket or other large container and check for hitchhikers. Look around for the thread about cooking LR.
