neptune controllers vs. digital aquatics controllers
i know im prolly gonna start a debate with all this but i have been contemplating a unit. not sure of the differences of the 2 companies, which has better add ons, more versitile, etc. i saw that reefkeeper is offering a new 99$ unit. is that even worth it?

Aquatronica FTW!
Go check aquariumcontrollers.com for a complete comparison of all the different controllers and their features and functions and expandability. I like my aquatronica because its sooooo unbelievably expandable. I've got internet access to my controller during the day, and just bought the dosing module so I can have it dose 2 part and vodka at programmable intervals throughout the day. Any questions, feel free to ask me or any of the other handful of advanced aquarists in the area who all use it I know its expensive, but in this hobby you very often get what you pay for, and you should even be able to buy one used here off RC to save a few $$$. |

yea i know they are pricy so thats why im contemplating just going top of the line cuz i know i will be able to hold on to it for many years to come. one of the main things im looking for is exaclty that, internet access to monitor and even change setting while im not home. so whichever offers the best in that thats what im leaning towards. i got alot of research to do on this stuff i guess. problem is that its all greek to me right now.

again, aquariumcontrollers.com is the place to do that research, as it's a side by side excel spreadsheet that explains the options for each controller, what comes standard and what can be added as an extra. One of the controllers even has a hookup for the calcium monitor! (though I believe it would likely be problematic and inaccurate just like the pinpoint one is)
