Will the DC8 handle 3-250w Icecap and 1-660 Icecap??
I'm not sure if I need to get the DC4HD as well as the stock DC8 coming with the Apex.
I'll also have 2-Tunze 6105's and Reeflo Dart return pump. Thanks, Mark

It will work but pay attention to your total amperage; you might not be able to use all 8 outlets depending on what else you have plugged in that would be on at the same time.

I think that there are issues due to the inrush current on the 660. I believe Curt has said that it may briefly draw as much as 50A on power up.
You will want to put the 660 on the Triac controlled outlets. When I was using 3x250 watt MH and a 660 I had the Icecap on a HD DC-4 just to be safe. Here are some comments by Curt that should address any questions you have on the issue: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...sh#post5000436 http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...60#post8451780 http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...h#post12947374 Paul

I run 2 400's, a 660, 1 mj and a dosing pump all at the same time on a single DC8. Been doing so for 2 years with no issues. Same DC8 also runs another mj and dosing pump. Have had them on in manual mode when adding addtional Alk to the tank, or making up more 2 part - but typically only one or the other of the mj's are on when the lights are (always true for the dosing pumps).

I am running exactly what you mentioned (all on triacs) and have the rest of the DC8 full of low-load stuff too. Haven't had any trouble.
