Question Is this possible?

Ok, so I had a fire shrimp in my tank for about 6 months now... I just recently upgraded from a 29g to a 75g.. I haven't added anything new since the upgrade. I noticed that the fire shrimp was finally getting out of his hole and moving around the tank for about the last 2 weeks (been a month since the upgrade) Wednesday I noticed my Springer's Pseudo chasing the shrimp around.. Well, yesterday when I got off work the shrimp is no where to be found.. I can't find him under any rocks or anything (no I haven't moved anything around in the tank to check) But I did notice that my 2 clowns were fighting over what looked like a piece of him. It may have just been part of when he molted cuz he did that the other day but it looked like there was meat attached to the inside of this piece. I'm wondering if it is possible for a springers pseudo and a ocellaris clown to attack and kill a fire shrimp that is about the same size as they are.. Or maybe my shrimp has gotten really good at hiding..

Any thoughts or comments?

I had a lot of shrimps before my seahorses started having babies. One by one I had moved them into other tanks and they all died off. I guess I didn't acclimate them well enough to the new tanks. Maybe shrimps are sensitive. I don't plan on getting anymore. My last one was in a non-seahorse tank. I had the little guy for 1.5 years. He just disappeared and I looked everywhere for weeks. I never even found a body and I have no crabs. All I had was an algae blenny and a goby and some nassarius snails.

Pseudochromis spp. are notorious shrimp killers. Sorry about your loss.

What he said. Even after living together in harmony for extended periods pseudochromis eventually discover that shrimp are food.
