What is a good protein skimmer

what is a good protein skimmer for a 40 gallon fish only tank.the tanks going to have live rock and sand.and going to have a sump

there are lots of options. You can look at octopus, msx, euroreef, vertex, deltec, asm. For the money msx is probably the best bang for your buck

I personally like the ASM line of skimmers. Probably the G1x would work well

The Tunze 9005 would be another good option.
