Going from Reef to Fish Only
I know this might sound dumb.But I never had a fish only tank.I want to downgrade to a fish only tank.I am selling my corals and Lighting and Vortechs etc Chiller and lots more stuff.I still want to keep Fish and maybe some Mushrooms.Would My lighting keep mushrooms .I( have some I would like to keep if possible.I want to Downgrade to 2 40 watt Florescent Bulbs I have that are brand New 1 Super Actinic 40 watt and 1 50/50 Coralife Bulb.I would like to keep my Live Rock and Mushrooms with Fish only.Would this be enough to keep them going,Personally I am not sure thats why I am asking I always went higher with all my lighting than less.Any Help would be Great.

Aot of that depends on how deep your tank is and where you place the mushrooms.

I'm assuming you're talking about the 90 gal tank. If so, then I think you'd really be pushing it to keep any corals alive with basically just one 40 watt light, cause the 50/50 isn't going to offer much for the coral. I suppose if you keep the mushrooms high in the tank, directly under the light they might do ok because they really don't require a large amount of light.

I have two 40 watt bulbs on the 90.1 is atinic the other 50/50.I would keep the mushrooms high on the tank.
