Skimmer suggestions

I am having lots of issues with a Berlin C-Skim 1200 I was using. The pump will not restart after a shut down, which can happen here in Florida frequently due to the weather causing power surges etc. I could usually get it going again, but not today. Even if I could always restart, the lack of reliabilty is an issue.

So I am looking to replace it now, but it seems my main problem is the dimensions of my skimmer compartment. the space I have is basically 10" x 16".

I have found two skimmers that will fit this space, the Octopus extreme 160 and the ASM G2. The Octo is somewhat undersized for my tank (240gal) but might be ok due to the light bioload.

Anyway, I need some info/feedback relatively fast, since I am stuck without a skimmer at the moment and need to replace ASAP. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!
