Hippo Tang got his tail bit off - will it grow back
Hello. I have a hippo tang that is about 2" long that I have had for about 8 months. He has lived happily all this time with his fellow tank mates which are a yellow tang, 3 perc's, clown goby and a bi color pseudo. About a week ago I noticed his tail was completely gone. Allmost looks like bone is exposed. He is showing no signs of disstress and continues to swim amungst his buddies. I was curious if it will grow back or not and if so what I can do to help it along. Some one ticked him off but I don't know who. The yellow tang is quite a bit bigger then him and is probably the only one with the size to do this to him but still he swims right along by his side. Any ideas?

It should grow back. I've seen my late Cherub angel's pectoral fin severely damaged(gone), it grew back to normal w/ in 1 month.
If the appendage's bone structure is intact, it has a chance of recovery.
