Installing Chiller today, how fast/slow to drop temp?

I am installing my chiller today finally. My temps are currently in the 81-83 range. I want the temp to be in the 76-78 range. How slowly should I lower the temp in the tank?

With just a few degrees difference there's no need to worry about it.

+1 Just set it to where you want it. It won't drop the few degrees immediately anyways.

If you wanted to, you could set it for 78-80F for 4-5 days. Then drop it a couple of more degrees.

Finally got the chiller going Thursday afternoon. Temps went from 84 at around 3:30pm to 79 by 11:30PM. Only a few degrees to go.
