First picture uploads, can you look at my toadstool?
My first corals came last week! I bought this green leather toadstool online - I received it and added it to my tank on Friday (3 days ago). I don't really know what it's supposed to look like, so I'm not sure if it's happy or not. I am wondering why it's leaning so much - I've tried to level it, but to no avail. Can anyone help me? Also, I'm not really sure where to put the toadstool in my tank, I'm not sure if it's in a good place - I know aquascaping is personal preference, but I don't have any ideas, so if you have suggestions that would be great! The huge hadoni carpet anemone will be gone soon, it belongs to a friend and I was crazy to babysit it. Thank you!

I think it's looking pretty good. It's probably stilled upset at the shipping and relocating. Leave it alone for a few more days, it's going to look fantastic.

Looks good to me, I think it would be closed up if it wasn't happy.

My monster toadstool always leaned forward. I would rotate it around and it would lean over again in a few days. I think it did it to spite me :-) It looks fine and I wouldn't worry! Just wait until it's the size of a dinner plate!

Mine does the same thing. I am convinced that their orientation is based on best exposure to flow. I lost a power head and the toadstool changed its position. Added a temp powerhead in a different location and it changed again. Replaced the replacement for the original in the same spot and it moved back to it's original orientation. Try playing with you flow.

I almost posted this same question. My Toadstool leans like crazy and no matter what will not straighten up. Guess they do what they want!!

It looks just fine. I have a few of them. They just seem to do their own thing, you can turn them all you want....they just bend & move to what ever feels good to them. Just leave it alone.
Also as said above.....DONT freak out when it shrivels up for a few weeks. Its just something that it does. I have had them do this for up to 4 weeks, Then it just came back. You will know if its dead, you will see the tissue of it start to flake apart & deteriorate.
