Electric shock!!

Hi,

I was just checking the salinity levels on my newly mixed water ready for my bi-weekly water change and I got a strong electric shock!

I have found the source (a dodgy power head) which had been running for about 3 days.

My question is will this have effected the salt water I just mixed? (red Sea) Do i need to do another mix or does it not matter?

thanks

120 gallon reef, with sump and skimmer - nothing fancy

No it wont affect the water.

BTW you might want to look at a grounding probe.
