Elos PO4 vs API PO4 Results???

Tank Water
Elos = 0
API = 0

Tap Water
Elos = 0
API = 1.0

Is it possible there is 0 phosphate in the tap water? Maybe user error with Elos kit?

I have not tried the Elos phosphate kits, but I hear pretty good things about Elos.

I have tried the API phosphate kit and find it is not too accurate at the low end readings where you are using it.

I use the Hach PO-19 phosphate kit for low level readings and find that the Salifert phosphate kit is good down to about 0.03.

At the levels below 0.03 you are probably better off using a photometer (around $200.00) or one of the more expensive phosphate kits like the Hach PO-19, which runs close to $100.00 for the initial set-up. After that the re-fills are much cheaper.
