looking for help on sump build
i have a 33 gallon tank to build my sump on my 29 gallon saltwater. so i was looking for hel pon building it. iver read quite a few things on building them but looking for some things to be cleared up.
i plan on doing skimmer -> return -> refugium. now the questions i really have is how the water flows from the refugium to the return section. thats a big confusion for me. also i found some return pumps fairly cheap and wonder how well they would work. http://www.graystonecreations.com/acc.htm well appreciate your guys help |

Here's some drawings I did a while back. The water flows thru mine via a split drain line and a ball valve to control flow. There are lots of ways to set it up.

As far as the pump goes, I would recommend going with something quiet, cool running, energy efficient and dependable. I'm an Eheim fan myself. Proper sizing is a must.
