xenia refuge....?!

I have seen this mentioned a few places.... what effect does this have on the tank?

im not positive myself but a good friend of mine just mentioned to me he was doing it...says it brings nitrates down....i guess they use alot of it up....

they are a very fast growing coral that will take some unwanted nutrients out of your tank. i have read that they feed on DOM and prefer a dirtier tank. i just started to use ro water four months ago and they started to slowly melt away, but now that they are used to the cleaner water they have bounced back. i have them in my tank for nutrient export and i put them in a spot where i can easily manage them. in your fuge would be an even better idea.
