rec./req equipment
I currently have a 75g reef with relatively easy to keep soft corals and will upgrading to a 180 mixed reef. I have lighting, circulation, and a skimmer taken care of, so what other equipment would you consider? I see alot of tanks with ca reactors, kalk stirrers, phos ban reactors, addition of supplements.I plan on keeping soft, zoos, lps and about 6 sps corals. Oh yeah i also have a refugium. Any pros and con to the equipment would be helpful....ie if you run a ca reactor will you need to add a supllement. thanks in advance for any replies.

Don't think you need a ca reactor just yet, just use 2-part if needed.
You should consider a phosphate remover, it's cheap and prevents algae

I would run a couple media reactors one for phosphate removal and one for carbon. For now I would just dose two part but in the long run a reactor will probably be cheaper depending on your stocking. I know you say you only want a few sps but in this hobby a few usually turns into alot.

I'd say set it up and as issues arrise buy what would fix it. It's possible deending on how your tank is going to be set up that you wont need anything.
