cost of a nano 12 deluxe?
Does anyone know if $179.99 is a good price for the new nano cube 12 deluxe? (this is with free shipping.) Do I need to get anything else with it? I plan on using natural water & sand from the waters here off of Marathon, in the keys. Do i need to oder extra filters? sponges?....

Depends on what you want to keep in it regarding the cube. If you are going to want SPS corals or LSP corals, the lights arent going to be enough. Does it come with a stand? You'll need somewhere that will hold 120 lbs safely or more.
Most cubes come with filters etc.... You dont really need to run any of the sponges, they get clogged with dirt and become a mess. Read through the "stickey" threads at the top of this forum, there's alot of information there. $179 is a decent price on a small tank like that but.... Small tanks are subject to quicker water quality changes which makes them more difficult to manage. MY recomendation is to take the $180 and get a bit larger tank, say a 30gallon tank. I believe you will be more successful in the long run with a bit larger tank. DONT believe what every Local Fish Store tells you. They are interested in SELLING STUFF...well most of them. There aren't very many that would turn away a good sale if the item was something that you didnt really need. Keep reading and researching......!
