plain ol' filter...?

hey guys, im planning on a 55g with a few triggers or lionfish. what are thoughts on just using a plain old canister filter? im just not sure i can setup a drilled tank on my own.

Research and or look at FOWLR (Fish only Live Rock Tanks).

The canister, unless kept very clean, will become a nitrate problem.

I'd recomend using a media reactor to run some carbon and use Live Rock for filtration.
