protein skimmer need help plz

I need some help on what protein skimmer to get.My tank is a 40 gallon breeder its goin to be FOWLR.and was thinkin of getting the reef octopus bh 1000 or the aqua c remora which do u think is better.

For that size tank and being that it's a fowlr, I'd bump the Remora up to a Remora Pro.

I think the reef octo bh 1000 or remora pro would be fine for the tank. For the most part, I like my reef octo hang-on skimmer. I hear the remora will have more micro bubbles getting into the tank. The octo's have large enough chambers where can put in additional filter media, and also hide a small heater. The octo is also cheaper than the remora.

If you plan on heavily stocking the 40 gallon, the remora might be the better choice, as it is rated a little higher. But that size tank is probably around the practical limit of both skimmer capabilities.

I'm an octopus fan myself, I have a HOB octopus on my 46 reef & I absolutely love it...I would highly recommend the octopus, here's the 1 I have:
