strange angelfish behavior?
This morning as I was getting ready to walk out the front door, I look in my fish tank and see the Potter's angel lying in the sand gasping for air. I then see him move and he is on his side under a piece of live rock. So I run a few quick tests, all levels are normal.
Nitrates 5-10 ppm Ammonia 0 ppm Nitrites 0 ppm ph 8.3 I end up going to work and when I get back home the potter's is fine, in his normal evening spot and was even eating normally during the evening feeding. I am wondering what may have happened. He was drip acclimated for at least an hour and a half when he was purchased on Saturday maybe longer. I also purchased a diamond head goby as well, the only thing I can think of is that the goby stirred something up in the sand that did not agree with the Potter's. I am going to do a water change to be on the safe side. Any advice or suggestions are most welcome. Thanks |
