So far so good. Ive been using it for about two months now. I switched from Instant Ocean (regular not reef crystals)
Pros: -Gets my trace elements pretty close to where I want them -I dont have to dose to much two part like I did before with IO -Disolves pretty quickly in about 30-45mins Cons: -Well the only thing I can think of is that it is a little on the expensive side. -And the mag. was a little off from what it said it was supposed to be at 1.026

I switched to this salt from tropic marin only because it was cheaper. Haven't had any problems with it, good reliable salt.

same here, switched from tropic marine pro. My only gripe is that it leaves a nasty brown film on my mixing container that the tropic marine never did.

I also switched from Tropic Marin Pro. I've noticed better polyp extension with this salt for some reason. I haven't had any problems, and it mixes as well and as thoroughly as the Tropic Marin. I like the fact that part of it is evaporated ocean water.

Didn't like it. Brown film after mixing and the big 3 levels to far off for my liking.

Also switched from TMP. Mixing up first batch as we speak.
Love the "big 3" level wise. Actually I'm using just Red Sea salt, not the Coral Pro or whatever. I liked the levels on the original salt. |

The manufacturer claims that it is nothing to worry about, and I really cant complain as my sps dominated reef looks as good or better than it did with the TMpro

They say it's nothing to worry about, BUT did they say what it is??????????? Remember they want to sell their product.

I used it for about two years. I was fine with it, although I found the KH to be a little low, in general.
Our LFS only sells one or two kinds of salt, and I like to support them. When the prices for Red Sea went up too much, the store changed to Kent, and so did I. So far, I like the Kent better, as the KH seems to be much higher.

Seems like a good choice. Red Sea products seem inferior across the board.

yea, the KH is a little low on the salt, but my corals haven't noticed a difference. my CA always stays high, so no problems when it comes to that

Every other bucket I use Red Sea Coral Pro. Numbers are always solid, and the best part is finding the random snail shell in the bottom of the bucket after mixing a batch. heh. (they have big drying fields for Red Sea water, to get the bulk of the material for their salt).
