any one ID this (algae?) is possible

This very pretty (maybe algae)was in amongst the same shaped(maybe algae) out wide when there was some collecting being done.more so filming and this was there just glowing away in around 50 feet of water, even when bobing up and down from the surface to just 30 feet getting some film of the area, you could see this orange spot in amongst the others,i assume same shaped algae.
It is doing really well in the tub after initialy turning brown than the next day reverting back to this redish/orange and it has grown slightly since than and it has a very small base to it,like kelp has.
any one know what it is and it's name?
