Will a submersed splash guard work?
Hi, I want to make an L shaped tank. Half of the L would be a Wrasse tank. As we all know, wrasses like to jump.
So either they jump out and die or they splash the lights with saltwater, and it needs constant Cleaning. So I was thinking if I could use a submersed splashguard. Perhaps a glass or acrylic sheet with small holes in it, and water would circulate through it. By being submersed, it wouldnt need cleaning, and the wrasses could be fed through a small opening in a corner or something. Comments welcomed. |

There would be far less surface agitation and I would imagine heat issues would arise as well. algae growth would reduce light penetration. not to mention the constant cleaning required.

Oh yeah, I hadnīt thought on algae, you are right. Its probably better to just clean the splashguard daily.
