Pump Advice
What would be a good choice for a return pump to use on my new 100 gallon tank. The sump will be a 40 gallon breeder. The weir is a coast to coast with the Bean system. I will probably go with 1 1/4" instead of 1 1/2 ". I am also looking to keep the watts/amps to a minimum and I can't break the bank. I plan on soft corals and lps with a few fish. Oh the vertical head factor is about 6' max.
On a side note. I picked up the glass and taped the seams so I am ready to go. I am just waiting for a friend of mine to give me a hand. John |

Internal, external? Play around with the headloss calculator.

I would run two return pumps incase of a malfunction. I have a 120 with a 40 sump and run a mag 9.5 submersable and a mag 18. it seems to work well. If one quits while I'm at work, the other one keeps things moving.
